<The Fragile Colossus> from France is honored with Grand Prize of Seoul International Drama Awards 2023. And <Big Bet> from Korea and Min Sik Choi win Golden Bird Prize which is presented by Seoul Drama 

Awards Organizing Committee.

 

Today (21st September), Seoul Drama Awards Organizing Committee (SDAOC) holds the Awards Ceremony on 6 p.m. at KBS Hall (KBS 2TV live broadcast) and the awards including Grand Prize and Golden Bird 

Prize are given to 11 dramas and 15 individuals.

 

Grand Prize in the International Competition is awarded to <The Fragile Colossus> from France. <The Fragile Colossus> is the story of Sébastien, a huge rugby player who was sexually assaulted as a child, trying 

to prevent damage to a boy who is in the same situation as he once was. The drama received reviews from the juries that it dealt with important topics in depth. Especially, <The Fragile Colossus> wins 3 

trophies, with director Stéphanie Murat winning Best Director and Aude Marcle winning Best Screenwriter.

 

Golden Bird Prize is a category that SDAOC presents to a drama and an individual that have made a mark in the drama industry with achievement in both quality and popularity. SDAOC said, “<Big Bet> which 

showed the capabilities of K-drama and actor Min Sik Choi who played in <Big Bet> were selected as the first Golden Bird winners."

 

Drama directors, including Yun Seong Kang (Big Bet), Dae Yoon Jung (Reborn Rich), and In Sik Yoo (Extraordinary Attorney Woo), screenwriters, actor Sung Min Lee, singer Ho Joong Kim, CEOs of famous 

production companies from all over the world, and authorities of OTT such as Netflix and Tencent Video participate in today’s event. There are also special performance stages by singer Ho Joong Kim and 

Sandara Park.

 

The 18th Seoul International Drama Awards is the world's first festival that only deals with dramas. It is sponsored by the 'Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism' and 'Seoul Metropolitan Government', KBS, MBC, 

SBS, EBS, and CBS.
